OVERVIEW OF MY RESEARCH PAGES My research encompasses studies of the theoretical and methodological background of phylogenetic systematics, as well as empirical studies concerning the morphology, molecular evolution, and phylogeny of Hymenoptera. My Research Interests: A list of topics that I did or am doing research on and other topics I am interested in. My Publications: A list of my published work, manuscripts in press, and my Master's and doctoral theses, including errata and additions. Phylogeny of 'Symphyta': An overview of the various phylogenetic projects I have been doing in the past and am working on at present. Male Reproductive System: Information about my studies of the morphology and function of the reproductive system of male Hymenoptera, including the evolution of mating positions. Plantulae: Information about my study of the morphology and evolution of the plantulae, which are attachment structures on the ventral side of the tarsi of Hymenoptera. HymAToL project: Information on the NSF "Assembling the Tree of Life: Hymenoptera" project. My Research on Theory: Contains information about my research on the theory and methodology of phylogenetic systematics. Acknowledgements: A list of the people who have helped in some way with my work and publications. |
